The Clinton Dark Horses and Sampson Middle School basketball teams will begin showing their talent to the public on Tuesday, Nov. 24 at Sampson Middle School.

Each team, the Sampson Middle boys, and the men’s and women’s teams from Clinton High School will have inter-squad scrimmages on Tuesday to showcase their talent and get their fans ready for the new season.

The middle school scrimmage is set to begin at 6 p.m., followed by the high school women, then the high school men’s team. This is like a college’s “Midnight Madness” to get fans hyped up for the season.

During the night, there will also be a shooting contest for the players, and a shooting contest with special guests. There will be fan giveaways throughout the night as well.

The admission to this event is free. There will be concession stands open to support the Sampson Middle School girls basketball team.

It is encouraged by these teams that parents and fans bring their cameras to take pictures of their favorite Dark Horse players.

“This is a great opportunity for fans to come out and see their Clinton teams before their first games,” said Clinton’s head men’s basketball coach, Randy Jordan. “It is always an event that the players and fans really seem to enjoy, and we are looking forward to it. It is a good chance for our guys and girls to get out there and have some fun playing in front of our home crowd, and for the fans and their parents to sit back and enjoy as well. This is the 4th straight year that we have done this, and it has been a lot of fun the previous times. We are hoping for a good turnout and for everyone to come out and have a good time.”
