Midway Middle’s boy’s basketball team is now 2-0 after a 47-45 win over Hobbton last week, and a 49-4 win over Roseboro-Salemburg on Monday.

In their game against the Wildcats, Jamar Autry scored 14 points and Cameron Barefoot scored 13 to lead the way.

In their win over the Leopards on Monday, Autry once again led the way with 10 points. Sawyer Sutton added 9 to the Raider total.

Jaquan Alexander scored all 4 points for Roseboro-Salemburg.

“We were pretty good defensively I thought,” said Midway’s head coach Josh Bullard after the game. “We did some good things out there, and are pleased with the win, but we were sloppy at times. We still have a lot of work to do, but we are off to a good start this season.”

Next up for Roseboro-Salemburg is Hobbton on Thursday. Each of these teams will be looking for their first win of the season.

The Raiders are set to travel to Coats-Erwin Middle School for a non-conference match-up that should feature good competition. The game is set to begin around 5:20 p.m.
