According to sources, four Clinton High School boys basketball players were arrested during their trip to Myrtle Beach, S.C. last week to play in a holiday basketball tournament at Carolina Forest High School.
The players included three sophomores and a junior. They were each reportedly arrested on charges related to an alleged shoplifting incident when the team was taken to Myrtle Beach Mall.
All four players have either been suspended or cut from the team, and have not played since. Two sophomores are reportedly only suspended, and will be reinstated at a later date. One sophomore and the junior are reportedly dismissed from the team.
Since the incidents have taken place, the Dark Horses have won two games, and claimed the championship of their own tournament, the Dark Horse Holiday Classic.
