On Wednesday, Clinton High School Senior, Spell Carr signed the Celebratory Signing Form for Hampden-Sydney College. Spell Carr has been accepted to Hampden-Sydney College, a NCAA Division III institution where they discover, develop and dedicate. For this picture on National Signing Day, Spell signed will intentions to participate in the sport of soccer during the 2016 academic year.
Carr was grateful for the chance to do what he loves at the collegiate level, and said, “I thank all of my 13 years of experience, coaches and teammates for helping me to be the player that I am. I’m not certain that I would be going to college with the possibility of playing soccer without them. I was accepted earlier to Hampden-Sydney College to study medicine and it is just a bonus to get to play Soccer at the same time.”
Clinton head coach, Brad Spell, had nothing but admiration for the All-State performer. “Spell Carr has been huge for our program for some time now. We have been incredibly fortunate to have him here, and he is a great example to everyone,” said Spell.
Carr is set to play under Spell in the East-West All-Star game this summer in Greensboro.
