Clinton’s Jones signs with Methodist

Clinton High Senior Jamie Jones signed a letter of intent to play volleyball at Methodist University in Fayetteville Friday. With her are her parents, Keith and Jamie Jones, brother Joel Jones and Clinton High volleyball coach Jennifer Egerton.


On Friday in the Clinton High media center, Jamie Jones, the Lady Dark Horse star volleyball player, signed her National Letter of Intent to play for the Methodist Monarchs next year.

Jones mentioned the school being close to home, the coaching staff, and campus environment were all instrumental in her final decision, and thanked her family for being there for her through the recruiting process.

“It is a dream to play college volleyball,” she said. “I am greatly looking forward to playing at Methodist, and can’t thank the people of Clinton enough. I feel like playing here has really prepared me for the next level.”

Jones has yearly been an All-County selection for the Lady Dark Horses, and has been a leader for the team since she has been there. Jones is sure to find success at the next level, as hard work has never been a problem for her.
