Hobbton softball gets win

The Hobbton Lady Wildcats had a big night on the diamond taking the visiting Spring Creek Gators 4-1 in conference play.

Their scoring came early in the game. Zaylee King, Maddie Roesch, Mackenzie Williams and Meagan Parker all scored. The Wildcats got hits off King, Roesch with 2 with one in a hole, Williams had a hit, Meredith Norris had a hit in a hole and Parker had 2 hits. Sarah Suggs pitched the game with 7 strike outs.

Wildcat coach Andie Faircloth said, “It wasn’t a pretty game but it was a win. Sarah Suggs set up the mound again tonight. She worked hard for 7 innings. We had 2 big hits. Mackenzie Williams had a big hit and Meredith Norris had a big hit, again. We are looking forward to the rest of the week. It’s going to be a tough one.”

The Wildcats travel to Princeton Thursday, game time is 6:30.
