Clinton’s Lady Dark Horse softball team hosted a hot hitting West Bladen team that scored early and often on the way to a 16-0 shutout of the Lady Horses.

West Bladen came out of the gates early getting three runs in the top of the first and never looked back. The Lady Knights added three more in the second and then broke the game open with 7 runs in the third to erase any hope the Dark Horses had of mounting a rally. The Lady Knights added three more runs over the final two innings, making quick work of the home team with a five inning mercy rule win.

Clinton head coach Todd Slater was able to find some positives in his team’s performance, saying, “We hit the ball better tonight and did a really good job of communicating, but give West Bladen credit, they really attacked the ball. We just made too many errors. We continue to be a work in progress.”
