The Mintz Christian Academy Lady Lions finished the Carolinas Christian Conference in fourth place. The young Lions dropped games to Scotland Christian and Antioch Christian in the conference tournament.

“I was very pleased with our play in the tournament,” said Mintz head coach, Dan Heinz. “Our bats came to life, and we scored a lot of runs. Courtney Barber had a great weekend at the plate going 5-8, and Erynn Sessoms and Hannah Horne played exceptionally well on defense, turning multiple double plays. We are just young, and we are in the developing mode, playing against seasoned varsity talent. I am extremely proud of our girls and how far they have come this season. This is our first year playing fast pitch and some of our girls have not ever played before. It has been a learning experience, and we are all looking forward to next year.”

It was a successful year that showed promise for the future for the Lady Lion softball team.
