Area churches prepare for Men’s Day services


Pre-Men’s Day Revival will be held at St. Stephens Holiness Church, Turkey June 3-5 at 7:30 p.m. The guest speaker tonight is the Rev. Marvin Clowney, choir and congregation of Christ Missionary Baptist Church, Clinton. On Thursday the guest speaker is Elder David Marable and the Red Hill M.B. Church choir will render the music. On Friday the guest speaker is the Rev. Kenneth Morrisey, choir and congregation of Faison Chapel Baptist Church, Warsaw.

Friday, June 5, at 7:30 p.m. Greater Mt. Calvary Holiness Church, Clinton, will have a one night Y.P.I Revival. The Greater Eastern NC District will sponsor the service. The youth speaker for the evening is Sister Tia Green, choir and congregation of Action Temple F.B.H.Church, Whiteville.

Friday, June 5, at 7:30 p.m., Joy Night will be held at St. Peter United Holiness Church, Keener. The guest speaker is the Rev. Perry Cobb and the Greater Peace United Holiness Church, Kinston.

Saturday, June 6, at 6 p.m. a Pre-Men’s Day Service will be held at Mingle Hill Disciples of Church, 100 Zoar Church Rd., Salemburg. The Theme is: Man Up: Tribute to Men by Minister David Beatty. The guest speaker is the Rev. Clifton Freeman, pastor of First Missionary Baptist Church of Elizabethtown. The Snow Hill MBC Male Chorus will render the music.

Saturday, June 6, at 6 p.m., a pre-birthday program will be held for Pastor Annie R. Tart at the Crusade For Christ Deliverance Center, Spivey Corner. The musical guests are: Union Hill Choir, Midway; Jackson Grove Gospel Choir, Midway; Bless Singers, Spivey Corner; Point Level Male Chorus, Clinton; Temple Of Faith, Dunn and others.

Sunday, June 7, at 11:15 a.m., Youth Day Service will be held at Wilson Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, Turkey. The pastor, the Rev. Wendell Newton, will minister the word and the youth choir will render the music. At 4 p.m. the youth choir will celebrate their choir anniversary. There will be various choirs on the program. Refreshments will be served.

Sunday, June 7, at 11 a.m. — Be Refreshed. Men come and join us, as we learn more about our Great God and how we can serve him, within our families. Wednesday, June 10-12 at 7:30 p.m. each night, a three night youth revival will be held at First Missionary Baptist Church, Kenansville. The Rev. Cheryl Moore of Zion Temple Church, Durham, is the guest minister. Different choirs will render the music each night.

Sunday, June 14, at 3:30 p.m., The Greater Mt. Calvary Holiness Church, at 515 South East Blvd. Clinton, will celebrate their 22nd combine choir anniversary.
