The deadline for church briefs is 5 p.m. on Wednesdays. Church briefs can be placed by emailing [email protected] or leaving a message at 910-644-0447. Briefs run up until the event and do not have to be resubmitted each week.

National Day of Prayer

May 7, 9:30-11 a.m. public Bible reading; noon-1 p.m. prayer at the downtown courthouse in Clinton.

Bearskin MBC

Annual Men’s Day will be observed on Sunday, April 26 at 11 a.m.. The Rev. Mark D. Powell will deliver the message. Music will be rendered by the Community Male Chorus.

The 275th homecoming will be Sunday, May 3. Service begins at 11 a.m., with dinner on the grounds following. The keynote speaker will be Dr. Douglas Hix of St. Andrews Presbyterian College in Laurinburg. There will be a choir from St. Andrews Covenant Presbyterian Church, directed by Sharon Miller. The church is located at 65 Eddie L. Jones Road in Ivanhoe.

Cedar Point

The new “Women In Discipleship” class will begin with an orientation on April 25, at 10 a.m.. All women are invited to attend this information session.
