CLINTON — The Clinton Dark Horse junior varsity football team dropped to 1-2 with a 24-0 loss to the East Bladen Eagles Thursday night at Dark Horse Stadium.

Clinton couldn’t get the offense going as the Eagles were able to get in the Dark Horse end zone three times and converting all three two-point conversions that gave East Bladen the 24-0 win.

“I thought we would benefit from the by-week last week, but it didn’t work that way” said coach Jason Arnette after the game. “It seemed we were able to move the ball, we just couldn’t get it in.”

Arnette said that the week off hurt. “Instead of the off week helping, it really hurt and with the team timing and overall play,” he said. “We just have to regroup and be ready for next week.”

Clinton’s JV team will play at home next Thursday, Sept. 15 against Richlands. Game time for the conference game will be 6:30 p.m.
