Smith Chapel to honor pastor

The day has been designated as Pastor Appreciation Sunday. The theme for the day will be &#8216;Celebrate the Call.&#8217; This event is to give recognition to Dr. Cannon for outstanding service to the community as a pastor and a leader. The special Sunday morning service at 11 a.m. will feature a message by the Rev. Walter Cannon of Durham. Church members and community representatives will express appreciation to the pastor. The men and women ministries of the church will honor the pastor with a banquet meal immediately following the service. The church is located t 7485 Old Mintz Hwy., Garland.</p>
