Two weeks ago I was at a local talent show where some young kids demonstrated their gifts of dancing and singing. It was an awesome display of talent from start to finish. There was a lot of parent support on hand as well, which made it an even greater night.

It’s so important that parents support their children in all of their events, it will help develop their child’s confidence and over all self-esteem. While sitting there watching the kids perform two young girls walked out and waited for their turn to sing their song. The song that they had chosen which titled “He wants it All,” which refers to God and how he desires to have all of us.

As the song began, one of the young girls who was the lead off singer, begin to cry due to the fear of so many people looking at her at one time. So everyone in the audience began to cheer her on, and say out loud “you can do it.” While this was going on, I was in the back praying that God would give this young lady the boldness to stand up and sing this song which talks about him.

I saw “fear” rise up around this young lady, and I begin to call on the name of Jesus to help her overcome this “fear.” I prayed 2 Tim 1:7, which says “for God hath not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, and love, and of a sound mind.” I asked the Lord to not allow “fear” to win, because it would have crippled this young lady for the rest of her life.

Saints of God we all deal with “fear” every day, but we have to declare God’s word over that “fear.”

The young girl’s mom began to walk out on the stage, but was stopped by the MCs of the show, so the young girl was somewhat on her on … so she thought. But I believe in the power of prayer, that Jesus was on that stage with that young lady, and he rose up in her like he did after three days in the grave and helped her overcome that “fear.”

The two young ladies went on to sing their song about Jesus and they got a standing ovation from everyone. The devil was trying to use “fear” so that “FAITH” could not arise, and be glorified because it took “Faith” for them to continue on with their song.

Saints of God, use the word of God to cast down “fear” as it tries to rise up in areas of your life. Remember that Jesus arose from the grave with power and authority in his hands, and because you and I have accepted him as Lord and Savior that same power and authority is available to us to be able to overcome any “Fear” that will try to block our blessings.
