A 22-year-old Wade woman has been charged in connection with two separate larcenies in Sampson County that took place at the end of July.
Megan Wrench, 22, of 7147 Lee Ave., was arrested Wednesday after an investigation linked her to the two crimes, one that took place on July 27, the other July 30.
According to sheriff’s reports, released Friday, Wrench allegedly took items from a safe belonging to a northern Sampson County man on July 27 and then used a credit card allegedly taken in the first theft three days later.
A two-week investigation led officers to Wrench. She was arrested Wednesday by authorities and taken to the Sampson County Detention Center.
She was charged separately for the two crimes: in one case for safe-cracking and the other for financial card fraud. She was placed under a $10,000 secured bond in each case and made her first court appearance on Friday.
According to the North Carolina Department of Corrections, Wrench has a previous conviction for larceny in December 2011.
