
Underwood lauded
Andrew Fisher Underwood was recognized by the City Council and Mayor Lew Starling this week for receiving his Eagle Scout Award. A member of Troop 27, Underwood was awarded the Eagle Scout rank April 15, earning more than 30 merit badges in obtaining the highest award in the Boy Scouts organization. The Council extended its congratulations and presented the Clinton High School senior with a commendation lauding him as 'a credit to the people of the City of Clinton and Sampson County for his great achievements.' One of those achievements was painting and decorating several rooms within his youth department at First Baptist Church, 408 College St. Andrew is the son of Dale and Teresa Underwood.
