GLEN ALLEN, Va. — Mr. Joe Ellerson Chestnutt, 67, died Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2012 at Henrico Doctor’s Hospital in Richmond, Va.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, Oct. 26, 2012, at Mount Vernon Baptist Church, 11220 Nuckols Road, Glen Allen, Va. with Dr. Don Runion officiating. Burial will be in North Carolina at a later date.
Joe is married to Cora Jean Wilson Chestnutt, and was the son, of the late, Ellison Eugene Chestnutt and Floyd Honeycutt Haddock and Stuart Haddock. He retired from Johns Manville as a plant manager in 2002. He was a member of The Dominion Club, Seniors Golf Association. He was a member of Emanuel Baptist Church in Clinton.
He is survived by his wife, Jean; and his son, William Joseph Chestnutt and wife, Leslie, of Summerfield; two grandchildren, Taylor and Joey; his brother Richard Eugene Chestnutt and wife, Linda Pearl of Clinton; two nephews, Larry and Chris.
