Boykin’s 15th anniversary will be celebrated Sunday

The pastor and members of the Little Piney Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Clinton, will celebrate their associate minister Alice Jean Boykin’s 15th anniversary on Sunday, Nov. 4, at 11 a.m. The guest speaker will be elder David Marable and congregation and the music will be rendered by the Little Piney Grove Youth Choir. The host pastor is Harold Boykin, Jr.

Homecoming will be held at the Running Branch Disciple Church, Clinton, on Sunday, Nov. 4, at 11 a.m. The guest speakers will be elder Earnest Watson, choir and congregation of the Saint James Church in Mount Olive. Dinner will be served at 1:30 p.m. All members and friends are invited to come our and share in this great celebration. The host pastor is elder Calvin Deans.

The Unity in the Community Day of Christian Fellowship, in memory of Glen Hemmingway, will be held Saturday, Nov. 3, at Union Elementary School from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. All churches, civic groups, organizations, mime ministries, choirs and soloists are invited to participate. Hallelujah Night will be held at the Snowhill Missionary Baptist Church on Wednesday, Oct. 31, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. There will be entertainment, food and games, all children and adults are invited. On Sunday, Nov. 4, the regular morning worship service will be held at 11 a.m. The pastor, the Rev. S.E. Bryant will bring forth the morning message and the senior choir will render the music.

Trinity United Holiness Church of Clinton will have service on Sunday, Nov. 4, at 10 a.m. Bishop Larry Mosson will bring forth the morning message and the choir will render the music. For transportation call 910-1887.

On Saturday, Nov. 10, the Cedar Creek Missionary Baptist Church Choir of Clinton will celebrate their anniversary at 6 p.m. Appearing on the program will be the Howard Family and New Light AME Zion Choir, both of Salemburg; Jackson Grove Gospel Choir of Midway; Little Piney Grove Adult Choir; Lamanuel Boykin and Company of Ridglewood; Michael Boykin and the Mighty Voices of Clinton; and others. The host pastor is the Rev. Alice Jean Boykin.

The Christ Missionary Baptist Church, now located at Salemburg Elementary School, will have its regular morning service Sunday, Nov. 4, beginning at 10 a.m. The pastor, the Rev. Marvin T. Clowney, will bring the message and the CBC choir will bring forth the music.

Regular morning worship service will be held at the Brown’s Chapel Missionary Baptist Church on the H.B. Lewis Road, Clinton, Sunday, Nov. 4, at 11 a.m. the pastor, the Rev. Jeffery White, will bring forth the morning message and the senior choir will render the music.

Hallelujah Night will be held at the New Life Outreach Ministry, 708 Sampson St., Clinton, on Wednesday, Oct. 31, at 6:30 p.m. There will be plenty of free candy for all children.

New Life Outreach Ministry, 708 Sampson St., Clinton, will be having a Break-Thru Revival on Tuesday, Nov. 6-9 at 7 p.m. On Tuesday, the speaker will be minister Russell Skinner; Wednesday, prophet John Langley; and Thursday and Friday nights, pastor Regina Lucious.

Joy Night/Trunk-or-Treat will be hled at the Union Grove Disciple Church, Clinton, on Wednesday, Oct. 31, at 7 p.m. The speaker will be Tamia Price of Clinton. On Sunday, Nov. 4, the regular morning worship service will be held at 11 a.m. There will be a speaker and the male chorus will render the music.

Regular morning worship service will be held at Saint Stephens Holiness Church, Turkey, on Sunday, Nov. 4, at 11 a.m. The pastor, the Rev. Willie Bryant will bring forth the morning message and the adult choir will render the music. At 3 p.m., the guest speaker will be the Rev. James Harvey and congregation from Warsaw.

The annual Fall Revival will begin at the Brown’s Chapel Missionary Baptist Church on the H.B. Lewis Road, Clinton, on Wednesday, Nov. 7-9, at 7:30 p.m. The guest speaker for Wednesday will be the Rev. Freddie Herring of Chapel Hill Church; Thursday, the Rev. Dr. Claudie Morrisey of the Littlefield Missionary Baptist Church of Newton Grove; and Friday, the Rev. Matthews of the Burnign Bush Church. Several choirs will participate. The host pastor is the Rev. Jeffrey White.

A though for today: God wants full custody, not just a weekend.

A special hello to Mrs. Annie Pearl Strickland, Mrs. Marie Wells, the Rev. Alice Jean Boykin, Mrs. Roberta Davis, Mrs. Annie Ree Chestnutt, Mrs. Ida Mae Best and to all my good friends. I love you all.
