Sheriff’s investigators are searching for three suspects believed to have entered a Turkey Highway residence Friday night, wielding guns and demanding money from those inside the home.

Labeled a burglary on reports, corporal Marcus Smith quickly pointed out that officers do not believe this incident is in any way tied to a home invasion that occurred on Nov. 6, involving three suspects who burst into a home, firing shots, killing one and injuring two.

“We don’t think it’s related to that incident at all,” Smith said.

But Alberto Parra-Arias of 2285 Turkey Highway, did report to officers that three black males entered his residence around 11:45 p.m. Friday night, pointing a firearm at those in the residence and demanding money.

No one was injured in the incident, but the suspects reportedly fired at least one weapon into the air before fleeing the residence, cash in hand. Over $200 was taken in the burglary.

Arias reported the incident to authorities the following day, Saturday, Nov. 10.

Anyone with information on this incident or the suspects is asked to call the Sampson County Sheriff’s Department at 910-592-4141.
