CLINTON — Mrs. Muriel Elizabeth Jones, 90, of 120 Southwood Drive,died Saturday, Nov. 24, 2012, in Mary Gran Nursing Center.
A graveside service will be held 11 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 28, in the Clinton Cemetery.
Mrs. Jones was born in Wayne County, was the widow of Billy Jones and the daughter of the late Lee Smith and Ludie Barefoot Smith. She was retired from Hamilton Beach and was a member of First Baptist Church. Three brothers, A.G. Smith, Carl Smith, and Ed Smith preceded her in death.
She is survived by a son, William “Bill” Jones of Nags Head/Clinton; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and two brothers, Price Smith of Houston, Texas and Marvin Smith of Raleigh.
Friends will be received following the service at the cemetery.
