ROSEBORO — Mrs. Mary Lee Hall, 78, of 608 N. Pine St., died on Sunday, Nov. 25, 2012 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m., on Wednesday, Nov. 28, at Butler Funeral Home with pastor Bill Vines and pastor Pala Dasola officiating. Burial will follow at the Roseboro Cemetery.

Mrs. Hall was born on Aug. 20, 1934 in Lenoir County to the late Hampton and Lena Mae Surmons Edwards. She is preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Columbus Richard Edwards and Gene Efmon Edwards. Along with her husband, she sang gospel music and were known as the “Hall Duet.” They sung for over 20 years on the “Willie B. Lewis gospel hour” on Wilmington T.V. station WECT. She was a member of Full Gospel Chapel in Clinton and was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Ivey Hoover Hall of the home; one daughter, Deborah Hall Guy and husband, William Martin of Fayetteville; one son, Ivey Hoover Hall Jr. and wife, Mary Rose of Parkton; and three brothers, Hampton “Buddy” Edwards Jr. of Burlington, Floyd Ronnie Edwards of Stedman and Garland Anthony Edwards of Fayetteville.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday afternoon from 12:30 to 1:45 p.m. at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro.
