AUTRYVILLE — Mr. Charlie Amon “C.A.” Williams, 85, of 1175 Leroy Autry Road, died on Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2012 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

The funeral will be held at 3 p.m., on Saturday, Dec. 29, at Butler Funeral Home with bishop Warren H. Barfield Sr. officiating. Burial will follow at the Williams Family Cemetery in Autryville.

C.A. was born on Jan. 23, 1927 and was a native of Sampson County. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jesse James and Carrie Horne Williams; four brothers and four sisters. He was an Army veteran of WWII and retired from the textile industry.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Frances Imperato Williams; one son, Larry Williams and wife, Barbara of Autryville; two daughters, Denise Barnes and husband, Steve of Autryville and Nancy Norris and husband, Lee of Eastover; two sister-in-laws, Lettie Lou Grey of Autryville and Maucicette Velard of Reims, France; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro and other times at the home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Cross Creek Beagle Club, 10995 New Britton Hwy. E., Whiteville, NC 28472.

Services entrusted to Butler Funeral Home, 401 W. Roseboro St., Roseboro.
