SALEMBURG — Mrs. Annie Virginia Christianson, 86, of 201 Church St., died on Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2012 at Sampson Regional Medical Center.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m., on Sunday, Dec. 30, at Butler Funeral Home with the Rev. Bobby Herring officiating. Burial will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Salemburg.

Mrs. Christianson was born on May 3, 1926 in Sampson County to the late Allen and Annie Pleta Herring Dudley. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Eugene Jens Christianson; and one son, Richard Christianson. She was a homemaker.

She is survived by one daughter, Carolyn Tanner of Autryville; two sons, Duke Christianson of Salemburg and Sonny Christianson of Newton Grove; one sister, Grace Ellis of Clinton; seven grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Saturday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro and other times at 135 Hollandtown Road, Salemburg.
