The Lady Crusaders put another W in the record books Friday night when they squared off against Wayne Country Day and got the decisive home victory 54-31.
The Harrells’ girls held a 14-9 lead after the first period and took a 27-16 lead into the half.
Led by the hot scoring hand of Diasha Jordan, the Lady Crusaders continued to work both ends of the court, creating turnovers and capitalizing on them at the basket. By third quarter’s end, the home team was up 43-18, and they never looked back.
Jordan led scoring with 19 points, followed closely behind by teammate Regan Murphy and Emily Benton who added 9 and 8, respectively,.
Also scoring for Harrells was Bucky Everette with 6; Anna DeVane, 4; Anna Huff, 4; Chloe Campbell, 2; and Haylee Parks, 2.
The Crusader girls also had strong rebounding with Jordan pulling down 6; Everette, 8; Murphy, 6; Benton, 5, Huff, 5; and Parks 5.
Jordan also had 3 steals in the game.
