Vivian L. Bennett, 60

CLINTON — Mrs. Vivian Lois Bennett, 60, of 515 Cartertown Road, died Sunday, Jan. 13, 2013 at Sampson Regional Medical Center in Clinton.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 19, at St. Stephens AME Zion Church with Pastor Evonne Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow in the Garland Community Cemetery.

Mrs. Bennett is survived by three daughters, Sonya Melvin of Stedman, Tammy Melvin of Garland, Kirstie McDonald of Richmond Hill, Ga.; three sons, Ronald J. Melvin and Christopher Melvin, both of Garland, and Jared Melvin of Lumberton; three sisters, Patricia Green and Katie Hayes, both of Clinton, and Reva Richardson of Fayetteville; two brothers. Jimmy Bennett of Ingold and Johnnie Bennett of Fayetteville; and 14 grandchildren.

The public will be received from 1 to 5 p.m. Friday, Jan. 18, at Carter Funeral Home in Garland and other times at 515 Cartertown Road, Clinton.
