The 35th annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial service will be held Sunday, Feb. 17, at 6 p.m. at the Mount Pleasant Baptist Church, 4442 Bonnetsville Road, Clinton. The choir rehearsal date will be Monday, Feb. 4 and Feb. 11 at 7 p.m. at Mount Pleasant Church. All churches in Sampson and surrounding counties are asked to participate. The 42nd Fashion of the Middle Eastern District Original Free Will Baptist Workers Conference will convene at the L.N. An appreciation service honoring our friend and brother in Christ minister Carl Faison will be held Thursday, Feb. 21 at 7:30 p.m. It will be a breaking the bread of life service. The Western Assembly Disciples of Christ Churches Bible Institute will begin the 2013 course January through October.
