Romans 13:7 says “Render therefore to all their dues; tribute to whom tribute is due, custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honor to whom honor.”

I would like to talk about the last part of this verse where it says “honor to whom honor.” There are several people who have helped you and I on this Christian journey, and I would like to stop and take the time to tell them “Thank you.”

Yes we are here today only by the grace of God, and because of some important people he has placed in our lives. Think about it, if these individuals didn’t take the time to talk with us, correct us, discipline us, and, most importantly, love us unconditionally, we would not be here today to tell our story.

I am so thankful and grateful and honored to have these people in my life. God placed them on this journey to meet up with me and I have been blessed to have them in my life.

Think about all the people who have helped you become who you are today, and then give God a praise of thanks for them. It could have been a teacher who never gave up on you, it could have been a bus driver, a janitor, a deacon, your grandmother or grandfather, your mom or dad, your sister or brother. Whoever it was, please give them a call or send them a letter or just thank GOD for them.

There are so many people who have helped me become the man I am today, and I would like to take this time to say thank each of you. I love you and may God bless you as he has blessed me.

It was no accident that these people were or still are in your life; God knows our needs even before we ask so he knew you would need people like these individuals. I can say to all the readers of Faith & Family thank you for your support of the ministry that God has allowed me to have, thank you for the comments and words of appreciation — they mean so much to me and my wife.

Saints of God give honor to whom honor is due, to the people who have played an important and Godly role in your life thus far.
