The Clinton High School varsity men’s basketball team is holding its first annual 2013 Basketball Shootout, a fundraising that just might win one lucky participant a chance to at a 2013 Ford Focus or a guaranteed $500.

The event is being held during the final regular season basketball game at CHS this Friday, Friday, Feb. 15

Collaborating with Ford of Clinton, Clinton High School will have a drawing, with each ticket a $10 donation. All the basketball teams are currently selling the tickets, which can also be purchased from the school’s coaches, Ford of Clinton or Oldies 1170 Radio in downtown Clinton.

The rules for this drawing are simple. If your ticket is drawn during half time of Friday’s home game, you will make a shot from the designated spot. If you make it, you will win a brand new 2013 Ford Focus . If you miss it, you will walk out with a guaranteed $500 cash that night.

The ticket holder must be present to win, and the tickets are non-transferable. You must not have played high school, college, or professional basketball in the past six years to be eligible to participate.

“This fundraiser will provide the team with new and extra equipment, team camps, sneakers, all the extra things a great team should have. I’m very proud of my team.” head coach Randy Jordan said.

“The seniors this year are very excited about this fundraiser. Even though its their last year, they bought in. I’m their third coach in three years, and I’m proud to say that this is my team.” Jordan stressed.

Tickets for this drawing will be sold until the end of the first half of Friday’s game. This fundraiser is for the Clinton High School Dark Horse men’s basketball program. All proceeds will go to that department.
