On Saturday evening, Feb. 9, 2013, the Carolina East Home Care & Hospice Foundation, Inc. hosted the First Annual “Did you ever know…you’re my hero?” Valentine’s Ball at the Bistro at Duplin Winery in Rose Hill.

The Valentine’s Ball has set the stage to be one of the premiere social events in Duplin County for Carolina East. Designed to be a special night to honor heroes in our lives…. to honor and/or remember parents, children, grandchildren, friends, loved ones, sweethearts, caregivers, teachers, military, etc….this night proved to do just that.

The caring staff of Carolina East helped to serve the delicious dinner to the guests. Mrs. Joe (Jeanette) Murphy stated, “I was invited as a hero by Al and Wanda Canady to the First Carolina East Home Care & Hospice Valentine’s Ball. I truly felt honored and blessed as the fellowship, dinner, musicians and atmosphere of love was all wonderful. I especially enjoyed my dance as a “hero.”

The Ball brought together nearly 200 people in an elegant, fun social environment. Lisa Mozingo, (car wreck victim) shared her special testimony, “Tell your friends and loved ones you love them whenever you have an opportunity, show them you love them- because your life can change in an instant. We are not promised the next moment and I know that if I never walk on earth again, when I die, the first thing my feet will touch will be streets of gold.”

In addition, the Ball is an opportunity for the Carolina East Home Care & Hospice Foundation, a non-profit organization, to reinforce their commitment to the community. Founded in 1992 and Incorporated as a 501 © (3) non-profit entity in 1994, the Foundation’s purpose is to educate the community about the availability of home care and hospice services and to provide assistance to the patients and programs of Carolina East Home Care & Hospice, Inc. through soliciting donations and raising the necessary funds. CEHCH is a licensed and Medicare Certified Home Health and Hospice Agency. Their services meet or exceed set standards of care. The agency was founded in 1984 and is a private, not-for-profit, community based agency serving Duplin and the six surrounding counties. CEHCH Inc. provides quality care by an efficient and dedicated staff of professionals. This year the event kicked off the Annual Sustaining Membership Campaign. For a generous donation of $250.00, you will become a 2013 Sustaining Member! Annual members will receive a membership plaque for their display and have their name printed on our Annual Sustaining Members Prestigious Display in the Milford & Reba Quinn Hospice Center to signify their support of the services that Carolina East provides to Duplin, Onslow, Lenoir, Sampson, Jones, Wayne and Pender counties. Our commitment is, “Serving as a quality provider of health care services by meeting the patient’s home care and the community’s diverse needs.
