The Hobbton Wildcat girls’ soccer team traveled to Pender Thursday and came away with a 1-1 tie.

Coach Wes Cone said he was satisfied with the way his team played despite not getting the win.

“It was an incredible game. The offense, defense and mid-field played excellent soccer. Pender’s score came on a lucky shot to the net. Even though the score was tied, I consider it a win,” Cone asserted.

The Wildcats are now 0-2-1 for the season and will host James Kenan on Tuesday, weather permitting.
