CLINTON —Mrs. Margaret Weldon Hargrove, 86, of 405 Parker Drive, passed away Friday, March 8, 2013, at Sampson Regional Medical Center.

A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Monday, March 11, at First United Methodist Church, Clinton with the Rev. Robert Redmond officiating. A private interment will be held at Clinton Cemetery.

Mrs. Hargrove, born in Louisville, Ky, was the daughter of the late Calvin Clyde Weldon and Bessie “Bess” Gamble Weldon and was the widow of George Robert “Bobby” Hargrove. She was an interior decorator and a member of First United Methodist Church, the Clinton Garden Club, and the Clinton Women’s Club. She enjoyed spending time at her beach condo. A daughter, Karen Elizabeth Hargrove, preceded her in death.

She is survived by a son, George Robert “Rob” Hargrove, Jr. of Cherry Grove, S.C.; a granddaughter, Chelsie Elizabeth Hargrove; twin grandsons, George Robert Hargrove III and Joseph Michael Hargrove; the mother of her grandchildren, Debbie Williamson Hargrove; and her caregiver and best friend, Mildred Atkinson.

The family will receive friends at the home on Parker Drive during this time of bereavement.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, 208 Sampson Street, Clinton, NC 28328.
