Marion C. Jordan

CLINTON — Mr. Marion Chaple Jordan, 77, of 2871 Boykin Bridge Road, died Tuesday, March 12, 2013, at Sampson Regional Medical Center.

The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 14, at Clinton Pentecostal Holiness Church in Clinton, with the Rev. Dwight Dunning and the Rev. Ray Carter officiating. Entombment will follow in Clinton Cemetery.

Mr. Jordan, born in Sampson County, was the son of the late Bernice Jordan and Viola J. Jordan and was the widower of Gladys Honrine Jordan. He was a retired mechanic and was a member of Clinton Pentecostal Holiness Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys Jordan; a daughter, Dianne Jordan, and two sons, Keith and Kent Jordan.

He is survived by two sons, C. M. Jordan and wife Becky and Jeff Jordan and wife April Hales Jordan, all of Clinton; a brother, Charlie Graham Jordan of Clinton; a sister, Joyce Swinson of Wallace; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 13, at Crumpler-Honeycutt Funeral Home in Clinton and other times at the home.
