The Hobbton Wildcats finally put the James Kenan Tigers down, 7-6, Wednesday night in softball action.

“It was a good win for the ladies. They played hard and kept fighting back to get hits when we needed them. We need to keep hitting well and play good defense and we will do well,” commented Wildcat coach Morgan Farroll.

Gracie Olson was the winning pitcher going all 7 innings and giving up 3 hits and striking out 11. She had 1 earned run.

The Wildcats are 4-1 overall and 2-0 in conference play. They play at Goldsboro Thursday and travel to Union Friday.
