WILLARD — Ms. Brenda Boney Hollingsworth died Sunday, April 18, 2010, at UNC Hospitals, Chapel Hill.
The funeral will be held 1 p.m., Wednesday, April 21, from St. Tabernacle Holy Church. Interment will follow at Duplin Memorial Gardens, Teachey.
Visitation was held at Matthews Funeral Chapel, Wallace from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, April 20.
Harold Newton, 54
GODWIN — Mr. Harold Newton, 54, of 220 Page Autry Lane, died Friday, April 16, 2010 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville.
The funeral will be 2 p.m., Thursday, April 22, at Point Level Disciples of Christ Church on Vann Road in Clinton with pastor Dannie Robinson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Public viewing will be held from 1 to 8 p.m., on Wednesday, April 21, at Dafford Funeral Home in Dunn.
Joseph D. Harris, 73
GAINESVILLE, Virginia — Mr. Joseph Donnell Harris, 73, passed away, Tuesday, April 13, 2010. He was born Aug. 17, 1936 in Sampson County to the late Alton H. Harris and Lellon Best Harris of Clinton. Donnell was preceded in death by his loving wife Doris Pope Harris; one brother, Billy Harris; and a sister, Joyce Harris Jones.
Mr. Harris was the owner and operator of Harris Electrical Company.
He is survived by three children, Tony Harris (Pat) of Nokesville, Virginia, Pam Moore (Newsome) of Wake Forest, and Joseph Harris (Gina) of Catharpin, Virginia; a brother, William Onzie Harris of Clinton; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
The funeral was held on Friday, April 16 at the Found and Sons Lee Funeral Chapel, 8521 Sudley Road, Manassas, Virginia 20109. Graveside services were held on Saturday, April 17 at Stonewall Memory Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation International, 26 Broadway, 14th Floor, New York, New York 10004.
