The Sampson County Interdenominational Ministerial Alliance presents the 35th annual Martin Luther King Jr. memorial service Sunday, Feb. 17 at Mount Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church, 4442 Bonnettsville Road, Clinton. The guest preacher will be the Rev. Kenneth Wells, pastor of the Rock Springs AME Zion Church in Fayetteville. Please come out and join us in this spirit-filled worship service as we give honor and praise to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Youth conference will be held at the Running Branch Disciple Church, Clinton, Thursday, Feb. 14 and Friday, Feb. 15 at 7:30 p.m. nightly. Minister Daemarkis Faison of the Holy Trinity United Holiness Church of Greenville will be guest Thursday and evangelist Lakevia Underwood of Ram in the Bush will be guest on Friday. The praise and worship service will include a praise dance and soloist. The host pastor is elder Calvin Deans, who invites the public to attend.

The Cooperative Institute is already in progress at the Robinson Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, Roseboro. The service will be held tonight, Feb. 13, through Friday, Feb. 15 at 6:45 p.m each night. The Rev. John T. Oliver, the moderator, invites all churches to attend.

The Christ Missionary Baptist Church, 5220 Faison Hwy., Clinton will have morning worship service Sunday, Feb. 17 at 10 a.m. Sunday school will be held at 9 a.m. and Bible study will be held each Wednesday night at 7 p.m. The Rev. Marvin T. Clowney Sr. is the pastor.

The Friendly Trio: a Musical Gospel Train will be held Sunday, Feb. 17 at 6 p.m. at the Friendly Community Center, U.S. 421 north (Hanson Road), Clinton. Evangelist Shirley DeVone of Goshen Disciple Church will provide inspirational words and the McNeils will provide the devotion. This is Black History Month and will include Monica McDowell of Elizabethtown, the Gospel Harmoneers of Warrenton and Shaneka Murphy of Clinton, along with many others.

Regular morning worship service will be held at the Brown’s Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, H.B. Lewis Road, Clinton, Sunday, Feb. 17 at 11 a.m. The morning message will be held by the Rev. Jeffrey White and the male chorus will render the music.
