CLINTON — Mr. Henry Lloyd Weeks, 87, died Monday, Oct. 22, 2012
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m., Tursday, Oct. 25 at Hickory Grove Baptist Church, Hwy. 421 N., Clinton, with the Rev. W. H. Calcutt officiating. Interment will follow in the Weeks Family Cemetery, Clinton.
Mr. Weeks is survived by his wife, Kathryn D. Weeks; daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy Weeks and G.H. Wilson of Spivey’s Corner and Janet Weeks and David Wrench of Dunn; grandchildren, Nicholas “Nick” R. Wilson and wife, Stephanie, Heather Wilson Mayo and Zach Wrench; great-grandchild, Wilson Lee Mayo; sister-in-law, Edith E. Weeks; and several nieces and nphews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin Franklin and Sudie McKoy Weeks; brothers, William Arthur, Bennie E., Rayford, Samp, Paul Stacy Weeks; sisters, Midlena W. Averette, Lucile W. Honeycutt, Kathleen W. Maynard and Mary Rhodes Weeks.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, Oct. 24, from 7 to 9 p.m. and at other times at Kathy and G.H. Wilson’s house, 76 Hollerin Road, Dunn.
Lloyd was a 1942 graduate of Herring High School. He was a retired plumber and carpenter. Lloyd was a lifelong member to Hickory Grove Baptist Church where he served as a Sunday school teacher, church song leader of 37 years, and a former deacon. But Lloyd’s favorite pastime was riding his Ford tractor and raising his cows and being a Pappy to his beloved grandkids.
