CLINTON — Mr. Ottis Ray Parker, 80, of 2740 Odom Road, died on Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2012 at Sampson Regional Medical Center in Clinton.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 17, at Mt. Moriah United Methodist Church with the Rev. Andy Wood officiating. Burial will follow at the Parker Memorial Cemetery in Clinton.

Mr. Parker was born on Feb. 3, 1932 in Sampson County to the late Paul Eugene and Beulah Honeycutt Parker. He is preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Evelyn Parker and Anna Jane Sears; and one brother, Carlos Parker. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict and worked as a T.V. repairman for many years with Parker Brother’s T.V.

He is survived by one sister, Christine Byrd of Burlington; three brothers, Fulton Parker and wife, Edith of Eastover, Winford Parker and wife, Lila and Ernest Parker, all of Clinton; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Saturday afternoon from 12:30 to 1:45 p.m. at Mt. Moriah United Methodist Church, 1414 Odom Road, Clinton, and other times at the home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Mt. Moriah United Methodist Church Building Fund, 1414 Odom Road, Clinton, NC 28328.

Services entrusted to Butler Funeral Home, 401 W. Roseboro St., Roseboro.
