STEDMAN — Mr. Norman Evander House, 76, of 6481 Roe Bud Road, died at his home, Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2012.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 1, at Oak Ridge Pentecostal Holiness Church in Wade, with the Rev. Michael Couillard and the Rev. Paul Bradford officiating. Burial will be in the Hall Family Cemetery in Wade.

Born in 1936 in Cumberland County, Mr. House was the son of the late Evander and Lydia Brock House. He was a member of Oak Ridge Pentecostal Holiness Church and a retired farmer.

He is survived by his wife, Lillian B. House; two step-sons, Larry Chavis and wife, Kimberly of Raleigh and Jerry Chavis and wife, Sandra of the home; brother, Alfred Fann of Fayetteville; seven grandchildren, Adam Kyle Chavis, Ryan Chavis, Joshua Chavis and Lillian Whitted, Joy Soloman, Jennifer Thacker and Tripp Warren; six great-grandchildren, Savannah Chavis, Aidan Chavis, Skye Whitted, Rayne Whitted, Dawn Whitted and Ahston Whitted; and 12 step great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the church and other times at his home.
