CLINTON — Mr. Charles Lee Matthis, 72, of 702 Walking Stick Trail, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2012, surrounded by his loving family at Rex Hospital in Raleigh.
The funeral will be held 2 p.m., Friday, Nov. 30, at Grove Park Baptist Church in Clinton with the Rev. Dudley Neal and the Rev. Dr. Glenn Jonas officiating. Interment will follow in Clinton Cemetery.
Mr. Matthis, born in Sampson County, was the son of the late Wilbert Lee Matthis and Winnie Mae Wells Matthis.
The family received friends 6-8 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 29, at Crumpler-Honeycutt Funeral Home in Clinton and other times at the home.
