AUTRYVILLE — Mrs. Joan Smith Hall, 55, of 5651 Autryville Road, died on Wednesday, Nov. 28, at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Goldsboro.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 1, at Peter’s Creek Baptist Church with Dr. David Bays officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Hall was born on Sept. 6, 1957 in Sampson County to the late Levin Lorraine and Virginia Smith Smith. She worked as a farrowing assistant with Prestage Farms.

She is survived by her husband, Tony Hall of the home; her son, Chris Averitte and wife, Deanna of Stedman; her daughter, Angela Averitte of Willow Springs; two sisters, Debbie Bedsole and husband, Allen, and Sharon Medina all of Roseboro; and four granddaughters.

The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro and other times at the home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718.
