ELIZABETHTOWN — Ms. Bessie Jane Boykin Mathis, 94, of 208 Mercer Road, formerly of Clinton, died Monday, Dec. 17, 2012 at Elizabethtown Nursing Center.
The funeral will be held Friday, Dec. 21, at First Baptist Church, Clinton, with the Rev. Thomas Farrow Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Clinton.
Visitation will be held from 1-6 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 20 with the family present from 5-6 p.m. at Brock Memorial & Worley Funeral Home.
Ms. Mathis was preceded in death by her son, Lamont Mathis.
Ms. Mathis is survived by her daughters, Carolyn Mathis of Clinton, and Sheila Mathis-Franklin of Greenville, S.C.; son, Eddie Mathis of Greenville, S.C.; eight grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.
