GOLDSBORO — Mrs. Ruby Merritt Smith Ehlers, 101, died Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012 at Wayne Memorial Hospital. Born in Sampson County she was the daughter of the late John F. and Eula Merritt Smith, and the wife of the late Rudolph C. Ehlers.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m., on Thursday Jan. 3, at St. Luke United Methodist Church with burial to follow in Wayne Memorial Park. The family will visit with friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
Flowers are welcome or memorial contributions may be directed to St. Luke United Methodist Church 1608 East Pine Street Goldsboro, N.C. 27530 or to a charity of your choice.
