PARKTON — Mrs. Stephany LaRue Hairr Lane, 52, of 397 Washington St., died Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2013 in The Carrol S. Roberson Hospice Center in Fayetteville.

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday at Zoar Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church with the Rev. Randy Barker, Mr. William “Corky” Herring and the Rev. Jerry Fisher officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Born in 1960 in Sampson County, Mrs. Lane was the daughter of the late Rufus “R.C.” Hairr. She was a former post mistress for the Town of Rex, and a member of the United Daughters of the Confederacy.

She is survived by her husband, Timothy Fulton Lane; mother, Glenda C. Herring and step-father, Rufus H. Herring of Clinton; sister, Jennifer Hairr of Salemburg, two step-brothers, William “Corky” Herring and wife, Karen of Dunn and Michael Herring and wife, Frances of Clinton; father and mother-in-law, Jackie and Hellen Lane of Clinton; sister-in-law Sharon Smith and husband, David of Wilmington and brother-in-law, Ambrose Lane and wife, Phyllis of Clinton and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Friday night from 6-8 p.m. at Royal-Hall Funeral Home other times at the home of her mother and step-father, Rufus and Glenda Herring, 108 Forrest Dr. Clinton, NC 28328.
