Edmund E. Ely
PINEHURST — Mr. Edmund Ellsworth Ely, 89, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 27, 2013 at his home.
A celebration of life will be held at 7 p.m., on Wednesday, Jan. 30, at Cox Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Kenneth Rahal officiating, military honors will follow. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral Home. Family and friends are invited to the home for refreshments following the service.
Mr. Ely was born in Lanham, Md. on Aug. 10, 1923 to Harry and Elsie Billingsley Ely. He was the husband of Jean Anderson Ely.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Foundation of America, 322 Eight Ave, 7th floor, New York, NY 10001.
