Cynthia E. Wainscott, 61
CLINTON — Mrs. Cynthia Ellen Wainscott, 61, of 4134 Faison Hwy., died Sunday, Feb. 3, 2013 in Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro.
The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 7, at Mt. Vernon Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. E. C. Mattocks officiating. Burial will follow at Grandview Memorial Park.
Born in 1951 in Mexico, Missouri, Mrs. Wainscott was the daughter of the late Leighton and Lorene Clement Admire. She was an employee with the Department of Social Services until her retirement in 2012. She was the widow of Tom Wainscott. She was preceded in death by a brother, Frankie Admire.
She is survived by a daughter, Holly Wainscott of Raleigh; two sons, Tommy Wainscott, Jr. and wife, Mary Jo, of Cottage Grove, Minn., and Trent Wainscott and wife, Leslie, of Clinton; three sisters, Sandra K. Stuart of Moberly, Mo., Candace A. Parker of Mexico, Mo., and Lorie A. Smith of Hallsville, Mo; and three granddaughters, Erica, Nicole and Ava.
The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the funeral on Thursday.
