ROSEBORO — Mrs. Gerrenia Bass Powell, 72, of 10871 Ingram Road, Roseboro, died Monday, March 4, 2013 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 7, at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro with Pastor Stan Carter officiating. Burial will follow at the Hair Family Cemetery in Fayetteville.

Mrs. Powell was born on April 9, 1940 in Sampson County. She is preceded in death by her father, Nassie Bass; her mother, Lillie Mae Bass Wright; her husband, Isaac “Buck” Lewis; one sister, Earline Hair; and three brothers, Shelton Bass, Buddy Bass and Larry Bass. She was a homemaker.

She is survived by three daughters, Angela Faircloth and husband Junior of Roseboro, Samantha Hall and husband Kevin of Autryville and Lori Moore and husband Charles of Hampstead; two sons, Kenneth Richardson of Mississippi and Larry Wayne Bass and wife Rhonda of Fayetteville; two sisters, Batesta Carlisle and Wanda Adkins both of Roseboro; two brothers, Ronnie Bass of Roseboro and Lynwood Bass of Maryland; and ten grandchildren, Isaac Faircloth, Katie Tanner, Benjamin Tanner, Emily Faircloth, Jaden Hall, Aubryanna Hall, Monica Moore, Niles Bass, Miranda Bass and Calista Bass.

The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro and other times at 338 Bulldog Lane, Roseboro.
